Weather for the weekend 13th Oct - Snow on the way

Could it be that winter is starting on the fells? It looks like Saturday may see the first flurries over the western tops so be prepared. It's going to be blustery again on Saturday which will make things difficult on the higher tops. Make sure you pack warm layers and waterproofs of you do venture out. Sunday will be brighter with less cloud, a generally sunny day. The temp is dropping so pop in, sit by the fire and get something warm in your belly. See you on the weekend. Get your MWIS report here, we always print this out and put it above the bar so if your around friday night, check it out.

It is amazing how much a proper portrait session can change the way your online profile looks to potential clients or networking contacts. I found a branding guide online explaining how sharp, premium photography can instantly elevate your presence on various digital platforms here in the UK. The author used the homepage layout of 5 Gringo Casino to demonstrate how clever color choices and a clean user interface keep visitors focused on the main text. Had a very similar nightmare with a roof repair crew in Nottingham last week. They quoted a flat rate, did half the job, and then demanded extra cash because of weather delays.

Even if you're in the UK and use platforms without restrictions, it's important to set clear boundaries for yourself in advance. For example, set a specific daily or weekly budget and stick to it. It also helps to set a playtime in advance and take regular breaks to maintain control. Don't view these platforms as a way to make money; it's better to approach them as entertainment. If you feel yourself getting emotional, take a break. This mindful approach helps you stay calm and avoid unnecessary stress.
