Music at The ODG

Music Night

Over the years music has played a huge part in the life of The ODG. We've had many notable visitors over the years, but our talent lies in our regulars headed up by our very own Neil. We've seen impromptu sessions start up as musicians meet on a weekend and the occasional planned gathering from our regular musicians.

You'll find us gathering every Wednesday night for our open session. Bring an instrument, your voice or simply your dancing shoes and join in the fun. The session starts around 19:30.

Folk Festivals

We've seen music our festivals come and go but impromptu sessions still start up as musicians meet on weekends and the occasional planned gathering from our former festival musicians.

We'd like to extend particular thanks to our good friends Maureen & Dave Reid and Mik Mead for their hard work and dedication to helping us raise in excess of £60,000 for Search and Rescue Dogs and the Air Ambulance service.

Our folk festivals are no more, although never say never...

Gifts from our friends

"The Gang", our friends and regulars give us the gift of music. Here's a few videos from a few of our festival musicians on the theme of our wonderful valley, Langdale.

Sweet Valley Wine by Mike Rolland

Langdale by Kieron Douglas (featuring Dave & Mo on vocals)
